Seasonal adjustment: The seasonally adjusted statistics in this publication use the concurrent seasonal adjustment technique and Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) modelling to estimate factors for the current and previous quarters. Under concurrent seasonal adjustment, the estimates of seasonal factors are fine tuned as new or revised original estimates become available each period. The seasonally adjusted estimates are subject to revisions at each reference quarter as the estimates of seasonal factors are improved. For more information, see the relevant section of the Explanatory Notes.

Contains a range of producer price indexes. Firstly, economy-wide indexes are presented within a Stage of Production (SOP) framework, followed by a set of partial, stand-alone measures relating to specific industry sectors of the economy (selected manufacturing, construction, mining and service industries).   Base period: From the September quarter 2012, all index numbers are calculated with an index reference period of 2011–12=100.0. This results in the index numbers for each index being set to 100.0 for the financial year 2011–12.

The dataset presents the number of proceedings that police initiated in the form of court and non-court actions for all states and territories. Data are compiled on the basis of the date that police-initiated action, or proceeded against, an offender (e.g., the date the offender was charged, the date the offender was cautioned, etc.). The date the offender was proceeded against by police may not be the date when the offence occurred, or the date when the offender came to the attention of police. In some jurisdictions the data may reflect the date of record creation rather than date of action; however, this does not have a significant impact on the comparability of data across jurisdictions for offenders as there are no major lags between the two dates.

Supply-use tables are an integral and essential element of the ABS national accounts. They provide an integrated framework of the total supply of goods and services (collectively “products”) from domestic and foreign producers that are available for use across the Australian economy. These tables make available a time series perspective for products in terms of domestic output and imports, and the uses of products for intermediate consumption, final consumption, gross capital formation, change in inventories and exports. These tables can be used to better understand changes in the structure of the economy over time.
