Statistics Sweden

Statistics Sweden is responsible for official statistics and for other government statistics. This means that Statistics Sweden develop, produce and disseminate the statistics and coordinate the system for the official statistics in Sweden.

      The table reports the definitive number of deaths each year. For the period 1968-1997, the number of deaths are reported that were registered up to and including the 13th week of the year after the year of death. For 1998 onwards, the number of deaths are reported that were registered up to and including the 4th week of the year after the year of death.regionSince 1 January 1999, a new regional division has been established.
