Statistics Sweden is responsible for official statistics and for other government statistics. This means that Statistics Sweden develop, produce and disseminate the statistics and coordinate the system for the official statistics in Sweden.

For 2016, this means that employers´ tax deduction was changed in June.Employees of the Swedish Trade Union Confederation, LO, classified as wage-earners. Others are classified as salaried employees.Preliminary indices are published approximately two months after the reference month. Employers contributions are forecasted and retroactive pay is not included.Definitive indices are published approximately 14 months after the reference month. Employers contributions are the actual results for the period. Retroactive pay and later received data from companies are included.According to SNI2007 (Swedish Standard Industrial Classification). Quarter 1993K1 - 2018K32016-09-14 Social contributions of employers have been revised for the period 2006-2013 with respect to reductions of social contributions for young and elderly persons. These revisions have affected the distribution of social contributions of employers between market producers (including producers for own final use) and the general government sector. Total social contributions of employers for the economy as a whole have not been changed for the period 2006-2013. For market producers (including producers for own final use) social contributions of employers have been adjusted downwards and payroll taxes have been adjusted upwards with the same amount.The Church of Sweden is reclassified in the year 2000 from the municipal sector to sector NPISH. Before year 2000 the church of Sweden is included in Municipalities and Federations of local government authorities.Swedish Standard Industrial Classification (SNI 2007) and corresponds to Kind of economic activity (NACE Rev. 2) up to 4-digit level. In some cases a marginal difference can be found in reported figures due to rounding off calculations between annual and quarterly National Accounts tables.
